Two Brazilians Nabbed With Cocaine Worth N310m at Lagos Airport

The Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has announced the arrest of 2 Brazilians caught with cocaine in their luggage at the Lagos International Airport. 


The suspects, a male and a female, claimed to be tourists. 

NDLEA Commander at the Lagos airport, Ahmadu Garba, gave more details about the suspects. There was a Dias Dos Santos Marcia Cristina, 36, who was found with 9.4kg of cocaine in her bag and a Lima Pereira Erick Diego, 20, who was found with 14.465kg of cocaine in his bag.

Altogether, the cocaine weighed 23.865kg with an estimated street value of about ₦310 million.

".. this is the first arrest of Brazilians with cocaine at the Lagos airport. The tins were factory-sealed such that officers had to cut it open to discover the concealed drugs.." NDLEA said.
