UN negotiates release of 876 children held by Nigerian army for possible Boko Haram ties

The United Nations has negotiated the release of nearly 900 children detained by Nigeria's army and security forces. According to Unicef's regional director for Western and Central Africa, Manuel Fontaine, who disclosed this after visiting Borno State, the 876 children had been held in the barracks in Maiduguri.

It was not immediately clear how long they had been held, but the army routinely detains civilians who have been living in areas that had been ruled by the insurgents on suspicion that they too might be linked to militant activities. (Fontaine is pictured above with displaced girls in Maiduguri, many of them are in school for the first time)
However, rights groups say there is no proper legal process for such civilians, including the children, since they do not get formally charged and some end up in so-called rehabilitation centres, which the groups say are like prisons. The United Nations says children should not be detained.

"You're not in the class of dancers that have the right to talk to me" - Kaffy brushes off critic, reiterates the need for a proper structure in the dance industry

Nigeria's Dance Queen, Kaffy took to social media last week to slam artistes who disrespect dancers and all that they stand for. This caused a media storm as she said it like it is, without holding back.

Mariah Carey says for the 10 months she was engaged to James Packer, she never slept with him

Mariah Carey met billionaire business man James Packer in 2015 and they got engaged in January 2016. For all the time they were together, over a year, Mariah's camp says she didn't sleep with him as she doesn't do pre-marital sex. Read the report from TMZ below...
Mariah Carey has the ultimate defense against claims she was banging her choreographer -- namely, she doesn't bang before marriage, and yeah ... that includes James Packer.

Sources close to Mariah tell us rumors about her relationship with Bryan Tanaka are completely false. We're told Mimi has a long-standing rep as a "traditional girl," and wouldn't blow that for anyone.
That stance extended to her now ex-fiance. We're told even though they lived together and spent weeks at a time on his yacht, they never got sexual. They always had separate rooms in their homes and on their boats.
Mariah's ex, Nick Cannon, can testify to her puritanical values. He's admitted in interviews he had to wait 'til they got hitched to round the bases.
Our Mariah sources say she and James were more like lovesick 12-year-olds -- they made out plenty, but never sealed the deal -- and that's one reason he was pushing hard to get married ASAP.

We Won’t Give Kaffy The Attention She Is Seeking- Davido’s Manager

Davido’s manager, Kamal Ajiboye has explained what went down at the show Kaffy accused Davido of turning down dancers at the last minute, saying Kaffy was only making a big deal out of nothing. Speaking with Saturday Beats, Kamal said;

“I am not aware of any problem between Davido and Kaffy. Davido said that he didn’t need dancers for his performance and I don’t see how that is a problem. We saw what she posted online but we chose to ignore it because we are too busy to comment on such. Davido does not have any particular dancer that he works with. During the particular show, while he was about to perform, the organisers wanted to include dancers with his performance and he declined because the stage would not be big enough for him and the dancers to perform. I don’t know how that should be anybody’s problem. Continue...

“During a show that he had at Eko Hotel, he had about 30 dancers on stage with him. If he does not have regard for dancers, would he have employed their services? People just like to seek for attention and we would not give it to them. The only thing I can think of is that she is just seeking for attention. I mean they wanted to put dancers on his stage and all Davido said was that he did not want. How is that anyone’s problem? I think you should call Kaffy and ask if she has any problem with Davido.”
