Sir Alex Ferguson Wants Mourinho to Win Europa League for Man Utd

Former Manchester United Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has stated that it he wants Jose Mourinho's side to win the Europa League this season.

Speaking to ESPN he said: 'The thing is, we've never won the Europa League. We've never won the UEFA Cup, what it used to be. And we've got a great draw. I'm not saying it's a certainty, but they've got a great chance.

"It gets you into the Champions League, too -- it didn't used to but it does now, and so that's a great incentive," he added.

"And there's no Sevilla in it, so that's good," Ferguson said, referring to champions of the competition for the past three seasons.

Manchester United are in the last 8 of the fixture after beating Saint-Etienne and Rostov. They face face Belgian club Anderlecht next month.
