Ex-Soldier Repeatedly Raped Woman And Carved His Initials Into Her Back Using A Knife To Brand Her

A former soldier raped a woman and branded his helpless victim by carving his initials into her back.

Daniel Dickson repeatedly abused the woman and used a knife in the brutal attack.

At a sentencing hearing at Teesside Crown Court , Dickson, 31, was jailed for seven years for the assault and repeated rapes.

The Afghanistan veteran had previously admitted unlawful wounding and was found guilty by the jurors of four charges of rape following a trial last month.

He had claimed his victim encouraged him to use the weapon on her during sex.

He was given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.

Dickson was also ordered to register as a sex offender for life.
