World; Google, Apple, Facebook Condemn Donald Trump's Visa Ban on Islamic Nations

Several multinational firms have opposed US President Donald Trump's executive order denying nationalities of 7 islamic nations entry into America. 

Reacting, Google said it has created a crisis fund that could raise up to $4 million for four immigrant rights organizations.

"We’re concerned about the impact of this order and any proposals that could impose restrictions on Googlers and their families, or that could create barriers to bringing great talent to the U.S.," the company said in a statement. "We'll continue to make our views on these issues known to leaders in Washington and elsewhere."

Apple CEO Tim Cook lashed out at Trump's executive order in a memo to employees obtained by The Associated Press.

"We have reached out to the White House to explain the negative effect on our coworkers and our company," he wrote.

"Apple would not exist without immigration, let alone thrive and innovate the way we do," Cook wrote.

Facebook sent emails to their workforces attacking the move to block refugees and entry to the US from seven Muslim-majority countries.
