Eight killed in multiple suicide attacks in Maiduguri


8 people were killed in Multiple bomb attacks in Maiduguri, Borno state yesterday January 8th. The coordinated attacks started at about 10pm. Residents of Maiduguri say the first bomb which was detonated by a female suicide bomber, went off at Muna garage area.

Two other suicide bombers carried out their attacks by knocking on people's door to detonate their IEDs in Kaleri community. Five persons were killed during this attack.

Confirming the attacks, the state police public relations officer, DSP Victor Isuku said "Preliminary info available is that the explosion occurred at Gariki Muna, which I understand is on the outskirt of town. Details will follow soonest"
