Viola Davis Breaks record, becomes first black woman to ever win an Oscar, an Emmy, a Tony, a Golden Globe, a SAG, and a BAFTA award

At the last Oscar on Sunday, Actress Viola Davis won the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Fences thereby breaking multiple records.

First, she is the only black woman ever to win an Oscar, an Emmy, a Tony, a Golden Globe, a SAG, and a BAFTA award. She is also the most nominated black woman in history and the first black woman to pick up the "Triple Crown" of acting...Oscar, Golden Globe and Emmy

Muhammad Ali's son was detained at the airport because he's Muslim

Son of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali said he was detained by immigration officials at Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Florida because he's a Muslim. 

 

Muhammad Ali Jr., along with his mother, Khalilah Camacho-Ali were returning to Florida from Jamaica after speaking at a black history event. They were retrieving their bags at baggage claim, when an official pulled them aside.

A day after Trump congratulated the new DNC Chairman, he now claims the election was rigged

Saturday, US President Donald Trump congratulated the new DNC Chairman Thomas Perez as the new DNC (Democratic National Committee) chairman but after Perez came for him on Twitter, he changed his tune. Sunday, he tweeted that the DNC election was “totally rigged” against Muslim Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), who was endorsed by Bernie Sanders, adding that former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton demanded Perez.

'They were focused so hard on politics that they didn't get the act together' - Donald Trump speaks on Oscar 2017 Blunder

President Donald Trump has finally spoken about the Oscar 2017' best picture mix-up on what he said was Hollywood's misguided focus on politics.  

In an interview with Breitbart News, he said "They were focused so hard on politics that they didn't get the act together at the end. It was a little sad. It took away from the glamour of the Oscars." 

He also added that there was something "very special" missing from the evening, and the mix-up was a "sad" way to end the annual event.

A human rights activist, Femi Falana, has petitioned Nigeria’s Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and the Attorney-General of the Federation, AGF, Abubakar Malami, demanding the immediate release of the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, IMN 

In the letter, Falana is demanding that the Federal Government obeys court order and release the leader of the Ibrahim El-zakzaky and his wife who have been in the custody of Department of State Service, DSS.
