Buhari will win again if he contests for president- Presidential media aide, Garba Shehu say

Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari, Garba Shehu, on Tuesday said President Buhari will win the Presidential election if he contests again. Speaking to state house correspondents during a press briefing in Abuja to mark the 2nd year anniversary of this government, Garba said  President Buhari has done well and that no one can judge this administration based on the two years it has spent in office. For the first time in a decade UK raises its terror threat level to the highest

Shortly after UK police identified 22-year-old Salman Abedi as the suspected suicide bomber who detonated bombs on Monday evening at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester which killed 22 people, Prime Minister Theresa May announced that the UK has raised its threat level to "critical".

This is the highest level for the first time in a decade. The last occasions were in August 2006 and June 2007. Both times, the assessment was lowered after a few days.

Chibok girls were never kidnapped, they were arranged to destroy the image of GEJ- LP chairman

The Labour Party (LP) has said that Boko Haram members never kidnapped the 300 Chibok schoolgirls and that the APC concocted the story just to dent  the image of former president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration. The party in a statement released Tuesday which was signed by its national chairman,  Abdulkadir Abdulsalami, the party said the recent release of 82 Chibok school girls is a fluke and that APC should expect the wrath of God for manipulating parents of the Chibok girls. The statement in part reads:

Senate to investigate increase in Rape and Sexual assault

The Senate on Tuesday passed a motion to investigate the increase in rape and sexual assault across the country. The motion titled: "Urgent need to investigate the alarming rate of Rape and Sexual Assault against Women, Children and Vulnerable people across the country" was introduced by Deputy Majority Leader, Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah (Kebbi South).
