Man cheats death after he was electrocuted in his sleep by phone charger

32-year-old Wiley Day from Alabama is a lucky man, he somehow survived after he was electrocuted by his phone charger. He sleeps with his cellphone charging in his bed but on one fateful Wednesday night, things went really bad. The charger came lose and a metal dog tag he was wearing got caught up in it, he was jolted out of bed by the electricity coursing through his body.

Wiley managed to rip the necklace off but not before suffering second and third-degree burns to his neck and hands.

Abike Dabiri tells Nigerians in India to remain calm

As a result of the multiple distress calls by Nigerian students in India on concerns on their safety following renewed attacks on them, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora has urged Nigerians in India to remain calm, be watchful of their surroundings.

In a statement released in Abuja on Wednesday she said that the renewed attacks on Nigerian students’ in India was uncalled for. While condemning the mob action as unwarranted and deplorable, she noted that the Indian authorities currently have five suspects in custody.

A Neuroscientist from Iran, Masih Rahmati and his girlfriend Mahsa Mehrdad suffered abuse at the hands of a man who racially abused them and yelled death threats saying 'Trump is in the house'. Looks like an American judge has come up with a fitting punishment for domestic abusers

Joshua Hill, a 36yr old from North Carolina is unlikely to raise so much as his voice at a woman ever again, not after the punishment he has been made to undergo. Hill pleaded guilty to assault and criminal trespassing in 2014, and last week admitted to violating a parole condition stipulating that he not have contact with the female from the assault case. For the parole violation, Judge Mark Cummings ordered Hill to hold a sign which reads:

'This is the face of domestic abuse' outside the courthouse from 8.30am to 12.30pm for seven consecutive days, in addition to a three day jail sentence. Unsurprisingly, he's not finding it fun, he said:

Photos: Police arrests notorious fraudsters that specialized in impersonating prominent Nigerians

The Nigeria Police Force say it has arrested notorious fraudsters who impersonate eminent personalities in the country and dispossessed them of their hard earned valuables.

Briefing newsmen on the arrests in Abuja on Thursday, the Force Spokesman, CSP Jimoh Moshood, said that on March 28, the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) cracked and arrested the notorious suspected criminals who posed as chief of staff to President, Senate President, National Security Adviser to President, Minister of petroleum, Minister of Finance, Minister of Transport, Chief Bola Tinubu, and many other prominent Nigerians.
