Nigeria emerges President, ECOWAS Network of Electoral Commissions (ECONEC)

After a keenly contested election, Nigeria today emerged President of the ECOWAS Network of Electoral Commissions (ECONEC). 
Nigeria’s representative and Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Mahmood Yakubu garnered 10 votes to defeat Guinea, which received four votes.
The Republic of Benin and Guinea Bissau emerged First and Second Vice Presidents respectively, while Burkina Faso clinched the position of Treasurer.

FG summons Indian high commissioner to Nigeria over recent attacks on Nigerian students in India


The Federal government has summoned the Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Nagabashana Reddy, over the recent attacks on Nigerian students studying in the country. Recall that some Nigerian students on Monday sustained severe injuries after a group of locals attacked them in Pari Chowk, Noida.

Olakunle Churchill was accused of domestic violence by his now estranged wife and mother of his son, Tonto Dikeh. He has however denied the claims. When asked again by someone who left a comment on his Instagram page few hours ago, Churchill replied, saying it's against his tradition.
