Egypt's Mubarak free, acquitted after years-long detention

Far from the cameras that followed him closely over six years of legal wrangling, Egypt's ousted President Hosni Mubarak quietly returned home to his family on Friday after winning acquittals and release from a Cairo hospital where he has been detained for years. The 88-year-old onetime autocratic ruler now walks free, acquitted over his role in the killings of hundreds of protesters who defied his rule. With muted street reaction, his discreet release underscored once again the failed aspirations of the Arab uprisings that swept across the region in 2011. While Arab Spring uprisings led to the collapse of central governments in countries like Yemen, Libya and Syria, Egypt managed to avoid a complete breakdown post Mubarak.

The Secret Service can no longer afford the Trump family lifestyle

President Donald Trump’s frequent travel, large family and unusual living situation is apparently weighing heavily on the Secret Service’s budget.

According to a Washington Post report, the agency recently requested an additional $60 million in spending for fiscal year 2018. Nearly $27 million of that was to be earmarked for security at the president’s private residence at Trump Tower in New York, where first lady Melania Trump lives with their 11-year-old son.

A mum-of-three can't play with her children because laughing could cause her to collapse. Yvette Kidd has cataplexy, a rare but serious illness which means she can collapse when she laughs or experiences extreme emotions

The 38-year-old owner of a plus-size clothing business also has narcolepsy, a long-term brain disorder for which there is no cure, which causes excessive fatigue.

But until she was 36, doctors struggled to tell Yvette, who is married to landscape gardener Andrew, 38, why she was so sleepy she would often resort to napping in toilet cubicles at work.

Donald Trump was sitting in the cab of a giant truck, playing and honking the horn as his plan to scrap Obamacare hit a major road block.

The President and Republican leaders' failure to broker a deal for a replacement bill with libertarian Congressmen has left the Trump administration's legislative agenda in crisis. But in the run up to the planned vote last night, Trump was down the road outside the White House, sitting in the cab of a lorry.
