SaharaReporters Publishes Melaye’s WAEC Result, Proves He Had Only 3 Credits [PHOTOS]

SaharaReporters has obtained Senator Dino Melaye’s West African Examination Council (WAEC) result sheets which it described as a pointer that the embattled senator was a dismal student who earned only three credits. 


The result sheet for the senator, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who represents Kogi West senatorial district, came from a secondary school attended by Mr. Melaye.

DSS Releases More Damning Report Against Acting EFCC Chair, Magu

The Department of Security Service (DSS) has reportedly sheds more light on the corruption allegations against the Acting-Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu in a new seven-page letter.

The letter appeared to have been written in response to a request by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.

Nigerian Government Received 2,351 Tips From Whistleblowers

Federal government has so far received 2,351 tips from whistleblowers, on cases bordering on embezzlement of government funds, looting of assets, contract inflation, among others.

In a statement signed by Festus Akanbi, special adviser, media to Kemi Adeosun, minister of finance, said the tips came via text messages, calls, email and forms filled on the ministry’s website.

No Solution To PDP Crisis Yet – Makarfi Clarifies Peace Deal With Sheriff

Senator Ahmed Makarfi has clarified the deal he entered with the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ali Modu Sheriff. 

Prince Dayo Adeyeye, spokesman for the Makarfi faction, in a statement said that the only area of agreement was that the two sides will withhold fire in the media for now.

He explained that the faction only agreed before the Governor Dickson’s reconciliation committee to “stop further media attacks on officers, elders and other stakeholders of the PDP across the internal political divide.”

Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose, in a statement on Friday scolded President Muhammadu Buhari for giving his political appointees too much power such that they behave as presidents. 

“Governance has been reduced to a theatre of the absurd," he said. "These appointees of yours are needlessly and embarrassingly flexing muscles and are heating up the polity; they appear to be having fun and regaling themselves at the expense of the nation.

Mom who beat cancer while pregnant dies day after giving birth to twins


A 30-year-old California mum, Jamie Snider, who beat cancer while she was pregnant with twins, died tragically Friday, just a day after giving birth to the babies. Snider who was a mother to two older daughters, had beaten cancer once before but lost an ovary in the process. She was shocked to learn she was pregnant with twins, but then during the ultra sound, doctors discovered an aggressive form of cervical cancer had returned.
