Governor Nyesom Wike has condemned the "inaction" of governor Samuel Ortom over the incessant killings of Benue state citizens.

Recently some gunmen invaded a Benue community and allegedly killed about 52 people.

Reacting in an interview, the Rivers state governor said a state of emergency should be declared in the state.

Nigeria's Minister of Works, Housing and Power, Babatunde Fashola recently paid a visit to Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state as part of his South West tour.

During the meeting, Fashola assured the governor of support from the federal government to achieve development objectives.

Responding, Fayose pledged total cooperation with the Minister and also tone down his harsh criticism of the Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday condemned the terrorist attack near the United Kingdom Parliament Building at Westminster, London.

In a statement released by the Presidency, Buhari assured the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, assured that the government and people of Nigeria “stand with Britons at this sad and trying moment in their country.”

According to Buhari, “terror attack anywhere in the world is condemnable,” and that the whole world must join hands to defeat the perpetrators of terrorism.

VANGUARD reports that the suit, according to his media office, would be filed at the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court, at 9am today. 

Sahara Reporters reported that Melaye did not complete his first degree in Geography at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
