Sir Alex Ferguson Wants Mourinho to Win Europa League for Man Utd

Former Manchester United Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has stated that it he wants Jose Mourinho's side to win the Europa League this season. 

Speaking to ESPN he said: 'The thing is, we've never won the Europa League. We've never won the UEFA Cup, what it used to be. And we've got a great draw. I'm not saying it's a certainty, but they've got a great chance. 

"It gets you into the Champions League, too -- it didn't used to but it does now, and so that's a great incentive," he added.

IPOB : FG Trying To Kill Nnamdi Kanu In Kuje Prison

The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has raised alarm that the Federal Government is trying to kill Nnamdi Kanu in prison.  

DAILY POST reports that the group made the allegations via a statement by the Media and Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Emma Powerful. Parts of the statement read, “The judiciary that is supposed to serve as the beacon where justice prevails and the last hope of the common man has turned themselves into a mess and allowed themselves to be used to torment the country.

Herdsman Rapes 70-year-old Widow in Ebonyi

Women from Isu community in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State on Wednesday stormed Abakaliki to protest the activities of Fulani herdsmen in the area, particularly the rape of a 70-year-old widow. 

The women carried placards with different inscriptions such as ‘Fulanis have destroyed all our crops and polluted our rivers and ponds’, ‘Fulanis have humiliated us’, among others. They alleged that a herdsman raped a 70-year-old widow, resulting in her going into a coma.

No Issuance Of Visa For Nigerians In Lagos, Says Switzerland

Mr Yves Nicolet, the Consul-General of Switzerland in Lagos, on Wednesday notified Nigerians that Switzerland consulate was not in the business of issuing visas to applicants. Nicole said in Lagos that it was advisable for Nigerians and non-Nigerians seeking visas to Switzerland to always visit the Embassy of Switzerland in Abuja.

“We want Nigerians and non-Nigerians to know that the Consulate- General of Switzerland in Lagos is not in the business of issuing visas to persons wanting to travel to Switzerland.

Controversial rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem in an interview with HIP TV said that new artistes like Don Jazzy are making a lot of money because of sacrifices of people like him.  

“Without the old artistes, the new artistes won’t make money, because we fought for the life that they are living right now.

“We put food on their table because of what we fought for, and we are very happy, and that’s why we are legends, you understand. But if anyone of them tries to disrespect, we will put them back to where they belong.

Jeremy Kyle looses mum, flies to Barbados with his girlfriend to be with his father


TV host, Jeremy Kyle, recently lost his mother, 85, after a lengthy battle with dementia. The grieving host travelled to Barbados to comfort his father and he went with his new girlfriend, Vicky Burton, who is also his kids' former nanny.
Kyle is reportedly devastated by his mother's death, though she's been ill for a while. According to The Sun, a source said: “Nan had been unwell for a long time, and she was in her eighties, but it doesn’t make it any easier for the family to come to terms with."

DSS arrests 35 high-profile Boko Haram terrorists in Ekiti, Bauchi and Kano

In a move to reduce the activities of hoodlums in the country, the Department of State Services, DSS, began operations that led to the arrest of 35 high-profile Boko Haram terrorists. The arrest was made known in a statement signed by Mr. Tony Opuiyo on behalf of the DSS.

On 20th March, a joint operation by the military and DSS led to the arrest of Adenoyi Abduslam, a Boko Haram kingpin, in Ado-Ekiti. 
Abdusalam was caught with an AK-47 while making arrangements for the kidnap of high-level targets in Ekiti. Other suspected Boko Haram terrorists have also been nabbed in Bauchi, Yobe, Gombe, Nasarawa, Kaduna and Kogi states among others, Sahara Reporters reveals.
