Senate In Closed-Door Session Over Customs Boss, Ali's Absence

Nigerian Senate on Wednesday morning entered into a closed door session on the Attorney General of the Federation’s letter that the Chamber to stay action on the invitation of the Customs CG to appear in Uniform. 

Feelers believed the Upper Chamber may decide whether or not to honor AGF Malami 's letter on Hameed Ali's case over wearing of uniform to the Senate. 

Nigeria's Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami on Tuesday wrote to the Senate, urging it to suspend its invitation to the Customs chief Hameed Ali.

Plateau Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Mr Samuel Galadima has slumped and died on Wednesday, while jogging along with Governor Simon Lalong, at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos.


Mr Emmanuel Nanle, Director of Press Affairs, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

“Yes, the commissioner slumped while jogging and was rushed to the Plateau Specialist Hospital, where he died,” he said.

The battle to soil Kogi West Senator Melaye in the certificate scandal mud is far from being over yet. 

The Harvard University in Boston, United States, on Tuesday refuted a claim by Senator Dino Melaye that he was at any time educated at the prestigious Ivy League school, the Registrar’s Office immediately dismissing the suggestion as soon as an official cross-checked it.

With fans doing all they can to earn whatever prized possessions left behind by Tupac 20 years ago, his handwritten 'Dear Mama' lyrics has now been placed up for sale. According to TMZ, MomentsInTime.com is selling Tupac’s handwritten lyrics to his 1995 hit song 'Dear Mama.' 
The three-page love letter to his mother Afeni Shakur is being sold for $25,000 each, for a total of $75,000.

The Inspector General Of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has deployed Special Tactical Force to Zaki-Biam and other troubled spots in Benue state to restore lasting peace and prevent further loss of lives.

The Force’ Public Relations Officer, CSP Jimoh O. Moshood made this known in a press statement on Wednesday.

The statement read in part:

“Worried by the killings of innocent people by invading unknown gunmen at Zaki Biam in Benue state on 20th March 2017 and destruction of property worth millions of Naira, the Inspector General Of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris npm, mni, has deployed Police Special Tactical Force, comprising Police Mobile Force (PMF specially trained anti-riot policemen), counter terrorism units, conventional policemen, Special Anti-robbery Squad, SIB, detachment of EOD, police k9 (sniffer dogs section), Police Air Wing (aerial surveillance helicopters) and other undercover operatives with their headquarters in Zaki Biam, Ukum Iga, Benue state.

The news medium alleged that the controversial lawmaker did not graduate from Ahmadu Bello University as he claims.
