Graduate steals bank customer's transfer slip, forges signature and attempts to withdraw N110k in Abuja (photos)


The Police in Abuja yesterday arrested Lukeman Ibrahim pictured above, a graduate of the University of Maiduguri, for attempting to withdraw N110,000 from an account that isn't his own.

According to Vanguard, Lukeman had trailed his victim, Theophilus Agada, to the bank. Theophilus was at the bank to do a transfer to another bank when he was allegedly accosted by Lukeman who stole his bank slip.

Mother of medical doctor who committed suicide by jumping into Lagos Lagoon refuses to believe he is dead


24 hours after he jumped off 3rd mainland bridge and into the Lagoon, mother of 35 year old medical doctor, Allwell Orji, Chinyere Orji has refused to believe that her son is dead. A relative of the deceased who spoke to newsmen at the family's home at Abujle-Ijesha in Yaba, Lagos state yesterday, said Mrs Orji who is a retired banker, has refused to believe that her son who is the first of three children, is dead. She is still hoping that he would be rescued.

Graphic photos: 20 feared dead and several others injured as gunmen storm Zaki Biam community and burn down homes


About 20 people were killed in Zaki Biam, Ukum local government area of Benue State on Monday while several others were seriously injured. A community leader, Chief Udam Wuhe, said more than 10 gunmen stormed the town from TorTonda- Zaki Biam road at about 5:00 p.m. on Monday evening and massacred members of the community.


He said there were no fewer than 20 dead bodies counted in the community, with several others injured and many houses razed by the gunmen.

Rio Ferdinand reveals he turned to alcohol to get through the grief of loosing his wife to breast cancer in 2015



In a soon to be aired BBC documentary, Rio Ferdinand: Being Mum And Dad, the former England footballer and ex-Manchester United defender revealed that he turned to alcohol following the death of his wife Rebecca in March 2015, after experiencing guilt that she died and not him. 
Breaking down while filming, Ferdinand said he started drinking in the middle of the night to get through the grief of losing her to breast cancer.
