Nigeria Police Arraigns Peace Corps Commandant, Dickson Akoh

The Nigerian Police has arraigned the detained commandant of the Peace Corps, Dickson Akoh before a Federal High Court on Monday morning. Akoh was brought into the Federal High Court alongside other senior officers of the corps.

He was arrested over an allegation of illegal establishment of the organisation and the use of military training facilities for intended personnel of the Corps.

The Peace Corps boss and the other officials were brought in two police vans amidst heavy security.

Wonders shall never cease. A woman identified as Mrs. Grace Amadi, recently discovered she had been married to and raising two children with a man who reportedly died as far back as 2002, News Guru gathered.

Grace, who had been married to her husband identified as Tony for six years, was said to have lived peacefully with him. The pair had their two daughters in 2011 and 2013 and lived in waterside in old Port Harcourt town, where Tony also had a job he went to every morning.

NUC Approves 4 Universities To Run E-learning Degree Programmes in Nigeria

Only four Nigerian universities have been approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to run e-learning Programme in Nigeria. 

The director of information and public relations of NUC, Ibrahim Yakasai, said the commission maintains its stand that online degrees are not accepted in Nigeria at the moment except in the four approved universities.

The Central Bank of Nigeria's Monetary Policy Committee 2-day rate setting meeting begins today in the nation's capital city, Abuja.

At the event, holding at MPC Meeting Room, 11th Floor, Wing C, CBN Corporate Headquarters, Abuja, the committee will deliberate on the on the state of the Nigerian economy, and decide on key monetary policy parameters.

After the bloody clash that claimed the lives of not less than 50 people in Ile-Ife in Osun state, the atmosphere seems to have calmed down. According to NAIJ, who visited the ancient city, the hausas were captured (in photos below) gathering in groups, holding discussions, and selling wares at their stores.
