"I am here to die for Allah" says attacker shot dead at Paris airport after he attempted to take soldier's gun

A 39-year-old man was shot and killed by soldiers at Orly Airport outside Paris on Friday morning after he attacked a soldier and attempted to steal her rifle.

Paris prosecutor Francois Molins said the attacker identified as Ziyed Ben Belgacem, a French-born national, held a pistol to the soldier's head and used her as a shield. He reportedly yelled that he wanted to "die for Allah and whatever happens, there will be deaths"

He was a serial offender with 44 offences on his criminal record - his most recent being for armed robbery. The police source initially said the man was a radicalised Muslim who was known to the authorities.

Scientists in UK are working on making babies from 2 women and 1 man

Scientists in UK have been given the go-ahead to carry out a treatment that will make it possible for babies to be made from two women and a man.  The UK's fertility regulator, the Human Fertilisation and Embryo Authority, gave the green light to the technique in December 2016 and has now agreed to its use by a clinic at Newcastle University.

Photo: 60 year old politician commits suicide in Abuja

A 60 year old man who is a chieftain of PDP, Dr Isaac Ojukwu, has committed suicide after he reportedly set himself on fire in a rented hotel apartment in Nyanya, a satellite town of Abuja on Thursday. The deceased who is a member of the PDP, Diaspora unit, was said to have handled the diaspora unit of the Party in Germany, Denmark among other foreign countries.

Speaking to Leadership about the incident, the Owner of the burnt  Hotel and Associate Professor at the Nasarawa State University in Keffi, Sylvanus Itodo, expressed shock at the incident

Cambodian aid worker claims Angelina Jolie adopted Maddox with fake details to speed up the court process

A Cambodian aid worker, 51 year old Mounh Sarath, claims that the documentation Angelina Jolie used to adopt her oldest son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, contained false information in order to speed up the adoption process of Maddox in Cambodia.

He said that he lied that he was Maddox's father in his adoption papers in order to speed up the process of passing him into Jolie's care in 2003. He also claims that he provided a local address on the adoption papers, that he is still Maddox's father on paper and still has power of attorney over the 15-year-old boy.
