BREAKING: Judge Withdraws From Fani-Kayode’s N4.9bn Fraud Case

Justice Muslim Hassan of the Federal High Court in Lagos has withdrawn himself from further presiding over the alleged N4.9bn fraud charge pressed against a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The judge ordered the return of the case file to the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Auta, for re-assignment to another judge.

South African artist, Zwelethu Mthethwa found guilty of murdering sex worker

Popular South African artist,  Zwelethu Mthethwa was on Thursday found guilty of murdering a sex worker in the Woodstock city of Cape Town in April 2013, the verdict which put an end to a 4-year case.

He was arrested after he was seen in a video footage parking his Porsche, crossing the road and striking down a woman on a sidewalk.

Matt Jordan and former Miss USA and Real Housewives of Atlanta Star, Kenya Moore dated a few years ago and broke amidst great drama. Kenya even filed a restraining order against him. Matt took to IG yesterday to blast Kenya after he filmed a season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta show without getting paid because he did not sign a contract and for not being invited to the reunion.

FG investigates allegations of harmful composition of Coca-Cola and Fanta produced in Nigeria

Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, has set up a panel that will investigate allegations of improper constituents and compositions of the Coca-Cola and Fanta products made in Nigeria by the Nigeria Bottling Company.


Recall that a court in Lagos last week ordered NAFDAC to warn Nigerians against taking Coca Cola and Fanta with Vitamin C as the substances used in the production of the soft drinks in Nigeria are harmful to the body when taken along with Vitamin C

Xmen actor, Patrick Stewart admits using marijuana to battle illness

Award-winning British actor, Sir Patrick Stewart has revealed that he uses medical marijuana to tackle the symptoms of arthritis.
In a statement to support a new initiative by Oxford University to explore the benefits of cannabis-based medicines, the 76-year-old veteran admitted that he himself, uses the cannabis-based spray, ointment and edible marijuana.
“Two years ago, in Los Angeles, I was examined by a doctor and given a note which gave me legal permission to purchase, from a registered outlet, cannabis-based products, which I was advised might help the ortho-arthritis in both my hands,' said Sir Patrick. 

N963m fraud: Court sentences oil subsidy fraudster, Rowaye Jubril, to 10 years imprisonment


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, secured the conviction of Rowaye Jubril, Managing Director, Brila Energy Limited, before Justice Lateefa Okunnu of the State High Court, sitting in Ikeja, Lagos. The convict was arraigned alongside his company, Brila Energy Limited, sometime in November 2012 on a 13-count charge bordering on forgery and obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N963,796,199.85 (Nine Hundred and Sixty-three Million Seven Hundred and Ninety-six Thousand One Hundred and Ninety-nine Naira Eighty-five Kobo).
