Photos: Troops arrest two Boko Haram terrorists in Borno, one pretends to be deaf and dumb


Troops of the Nigerian Army on Operation LAFIYA DOLE have continued with clearance operations on suspected Boko Haram terrorists locations through patrols, ambushes and raids with appreciable progress in their respective areas of responsibility.
These efforts have led to arrest, interception and neutralizing of quite a number of Boko Haram terrorists, as well as recovery of arms, ammunition and equipment. The essence is to ensure security in the areas and prevent infiltration by Boko Haram terrorists among the communities.

Video: 'Missing' French tourist found wandering around Bangkok completely naked


A naked French tourist, who had been missing for several days, was spotted walking naked around completely naked near Khao San Road, Bangkok, Thailand on Tuesday afternoon, March 15th. The police tried to talk to her but she got scared and started running, they chased her and covered her up. She was taken in a van to the local Chana Songkhram police station.
Chana Songkhram police say there is no suspicion that the woman was attacked.The woman’s mother has reportedly flown to Bangkok in the hope of being reunited with her daughter. Rescue worker Jakchai Banyensakul, who took the pictures and video, said:

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFF issued a statement today debunking claims that the N49 million intercepted at Kaduna Airport was a stunt.
The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been drawn to a report which appeared on page 10 of Thisday Newspaper of Thursday March 16, 2017claiming that the N49million recovered by operatives of the Commission at the Kaduna international Airport on Monday March 13, 2017 was a stunt purportedly intended to sway the senate to confirm Acting Chairman Ibrahim Magu's nomination as EFCC Chairman.

Nigeria: Kemi Adeosun Removed as Chairman of Public Procurement Council

Nigeria's Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun has been removed from her position as chairman of the National Council on Public Procurement.

This is as a result of the alteration made to the Public Procurement Act, 2007, passed by the House of Representatives. 

A major amendment of the Bill was the removal of Minister of Finance as Chairman of the National Council on Public Procurement. The Minister will now be replaced with a person to be appointed by the President.
