A United States new policy cutting the country's aid recipients is set to affect Nigeria, especially health Non-Governmental Organisations.
Politico reports that the State Department's budget won’t be getting cut as deeply as President Donald Trump initially suggested after Secretary of State Rex Tillerson successfully pushed back with the White House.
Fani Kayode's Corruption Trial Postponed as Witness Fails to Show

The trial of Nigeria's former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani Kayode has been stalled as a witness scheduled to testify on Tuesday failed to show up at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Mr. Fani-Kayode is facing a five-count charge for the alleged diversion of N26m from the office of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
He had earlier been arraigned on a 17-count charge for alleged fraud at the Lagos Division of the same court.

Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, former Governor Kano state has dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Senator Kwankwaso reportedly returned to his former party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. One of the APC handles on Twitter states that Kwankwaso defected alongside 10 Kano lawmakers on Tuesday.
Hameed Ali to Appear Before Nigeria Senate After Buhari's Intervention

The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Hameed Ali, will appear before the Nigerian Senate on Wednesday to answer questions bordering on duties imposed on old vehicles in the country, Punch reports.
The Customs boss had previously said he wouldn't be able to honor the senate's invitation as he had other things to do. However, he seems to have changed his mind after an intervention from the Presidency. He was seen at the National Assembly on Tuesday after a meeting with Senate President Bukola Saraki.
