You Must Appear Tomorrow In Uniform - Senate Fires Back At Customs Boss, Ali

The Nigerian Senate has fired back at Customs Boss, Ali over his excuse that he won't honour the summon at the red chambers tomorrow. The Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ali on Tuesday wrote to the Senate informing them that he would not be able to appear before it on Wednesday as he and other top officials of the NCS would be holding a management meeting.

I Won’t Appear Before You Tomorrow – Customs Boss Writes Senate

The Comptroller General, Nigeria Customs Service, Col. Hameed Ali (retd.), has told the Senate that he would not appear before the lawmakers on Wednesday as it coincided with the routine management of the NCS. 

The Customs boss asked the upper chamber of the National Assembly fix another date for his appearance.

Ali’s letter signed by an Assistant Comptroller General was read to lawmakers at the plenary on Tuesday.

Trump Cancels Angela Merkel's US Visit As She Heads For The Airport

 

German Chancellor, Angela Merkel was already on her way to the airport when Donald Trump phoned her to abort the trip because of unexpected snow strorms.

Some of Merkel's party were already seated onboard the plane.

Snowstorm Stella has prompted airlines to cancel thousands of flights and some mayors to order schools to close on Tuesday. 

Ibrahim Magu To Re-appear Before Senate Tomorrow

Acting Chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, is scheduled to appear before the senate tomorrow Wednesday March 15th, for screening. 

The senate rejected Magu's nomination on December 15th last year following a a security report by the DG of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura, that accused Magu of high-handedness and alleged involvement in some corrupt practices.

Update on twin sisters,16, and father killed in Chicago: Their doting father did the shooting

• Earlier today it was reported that twin sisters,16, and their father, 48, were found dead in their apartment in St. Charles, Chicago, while their mother was injured with gunshot wound

All evidence in the story seemed to point to the mother as the culprit and most arrived at that conclusion too, but it has now been revealed that it was the father who killed his daughters, shot his wife, before turning the gun on himself.
He spared his wife's life because, according to him, he wanted her to live and suffer like he did.
