In what has been described by most as nothing short of a miracle, a woman shocked doctors when she woke from a seven-year coma. 25-year-old Danijela Kovacevic, from Vojvodina, Serbia, had fallen ill after suffering a traumatic labour in 2009.

She contracted sepsis while giving birth to her daughter Marija and was left in a vegetative state, but surprisingly, seven years later she woke up, surprising Serbian doctors who have never seen anyone survive after being unconscious for that long. Her health is improving and she has met her daughter who is seven-years-old now.

Renowned author, Robert James dies at 77

Famous author, Robert James Waller, best known for the romantic novel "The Bridges of Madison County," has died.

He passed away in Texas either Thursday or Friday. According to his literary agency, Waller died at the age of 77 a few days back after battling a strange illness. In his lifetime, he wrote several books but "Bridges of Madison County" was his most popular, spending over 3 years on the New York Times bestseller list.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has unbundled the Nigerian Postal Service NIPOST, into seven zones and six business units, NIPOST Spokesman, Frank Alao announced on Monday.

According to him, the fragmentation is so as to enhance NIPOST's revenue generating capacity.

The reform programmes will take off in the second quarter of 2017.

Etisalat May Leave Nigeria After Repaying $1.2bn Debts - Reuters

The Abu Dhabi telecoms group Etisalat may sell its stake in Etisalat Nigeria following the recent issues surrounding it, sources said according to Reuters.

Etisalat Nigeria has defaulted on a $1.2 billion loan, but the parent company wants the debt restructured before it sells its stake in the firm.

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, and the Nigeria Communications Commission, NCC, have interfered in the matter and are in talks with the banks concerned and Etisalat Nigeria.
