Sheik Jingir - Fresh Election Should Be Conducted If The President Dies

Sheik Sani Yahaya Jingir, Chairman, Council of Ulama of Jama’atu Izalatul Bidi’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), said there should be fresh election if the President of Nigeria dies.  

He made the call in Bauchi at the matriculation of the students of Sunnah College Bauchi. He opined that the present arrangement had opened an avenue where the president was exposed to uncertainty while his vice ‎was confident of becoming president whether Nigerians liked him or not; DAILY POST reports.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, received President Buhari's Letter of resumption from Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matter(House of Representatives) Hon. Suleiman Abdulrahman Kawu Sumaila in his office this evening. President Buhari sent in the letter to notify the lawmakers of his resumption to work after his long medical vacation. Davido and Hushpuppi settle their fight after a 'peacemaker' wades in


Singer, Davido and flamboyant Malaysia based Nigerian, Hushpuppi had a social media battle today over who's more wealthy. It all began after Hushpuppi threw shade at Davido as he spent 11m on drinks at Quilox in Lagos over the weekend. Their beef has now been settled by a friend. Watch the video after the cut.

Fayose To Buhari - Don't Reverse the Progress Nigeria Made During Your Absence

Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose on Monday evening reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari's resumption.  

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, Fayose said the country progressed during Buhari’s absence. “While you were away, peace returned to the Niger Delta, impacting positively on crude oil production and sales. The economy also improved with the appreciation of the Naira. Now that you are back, it will not be right to put the country on the reverse gear again through some pig-headed policies and truculent, militarist posturing.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says President Buhari is very fit to resume work today March 13th. Speaking with state house correspondents after a meeting with President Buhari in the state house in Abuja this morning, Osinbajo said.

Outrage as cop is caught on camera punching unarmed man and threatening witnesses with his gun



Footage of a police officer using excessive force on a suspect and swearing at witnesses who accused him of police brutality has emerged and people are criticising the police officer, saying he went too far.

The incident occurred on Friday afternoon at a gas station in Vallejo, California when the officer responded to a 911 call that there was a man acting crazy around there. The officer arrived the scene and chased the unarmed suspect for several minutes, before the suspect gave up and sat on the floor, in the middle of the road.

Nigerian man sentenced to 20 years for drugging, raping and trafficking 15-year-old South African girl


Nigerian national, Ugochukwu Eke was on Monday, March 13th, sentenced to 20 years imprisonment by the Johannesburg High Court for drugging and sexually exploiting an underage girl, living off the earnings of sexual exploitation and being an accomplice to her rape and trafficking 
Eke committed the crimes in 2015. 

Judge Majake Mabesele read out the charges that Eke was facing which included sexual exploitation of a child, living off the earnings of sexual exploitation, being an accomplice to rape and contravening the Prevention and Combating of Trafficking in Persons Act.
