Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom split after a year together, confirm they are taking time apart!


Just days after appearing at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party, celebrity couple Katy Perry and her actor boyfriend, Orlando bloom have decided to break up and claim it was done 'respectfully and lovingly'.

Around November 2016, report filtered in that the pair had broken up  but they both shelved those rumors by spending Christmas and new year together.The 'break up' statement comes after Katy hosted a surprise 40th birthday party for the actor back in January and even during the Vanity Oscars after party on Sunday night they appeared to be spending time together even though they did not walk the red carpet together.

Rihanna was named Humanitarian of the Year by Harvard University for her inspiring charitable cases and the 29-year-old singer was present at Harvard on Monday to receive her award.

Dressed in a grey off-the-shoulder dress and matching over-the-knee boot, the Barbados beauty looked ravishing as she accepted her award plaque from Allen Counter, the director of the Harvard Foundation. Rihanna, who never made it past high school, could not hide her excitement at receiving an award from a prestigious university and she made it known during her speech.

Court dismisses six count charges against IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu


The Federal High Court, Abuja, has dismissed six count charges against the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu. At the resumed hearing of his case today, the presiding judge, Justice Binta Nyako dismissed count charges  3,5,7,9,10 and 11, bordering on belonging to unlawful society, illegal importation of radio transmitters and carrying out research on the internet on how to make improvised explosive devices (IEDs) among others. 
Justice Nyako said the prosecuting team had failed to provide evidence to prove that the allegations in the charges were true. She however insisted that the IPOB leader must be re-arraigned on five count charges bordering on treasonable felony
