'I went to Balogun market and it was wonderful' - Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr relives his Lagos experience

Franco-German Technical adviser of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has revealed his excitement during his visit to the popular Balogun market in Lagos.
 
Rohr resides officially in Abuja and mostly travels to Uyo for Nigeria's games hence he's hardly in Lagos that's why he was very happy when he finally spent time in one of Nigeria's commercial hub.

2 Years After, Ekwueme Speaks On Why PDP Lost Power


A former Vice-President, Dr. Alex Ekwueme, on Tuesday gave reasons why the Peoples Democratic failed to win the 2015 presidential election.

Ekwueme, a founding member of the party which held power for 16 years, said PDP was formed as a “mass movement” but along the way, it was hijacked by selfish interests.

House of Reps member, Bello Sani, has died


A serving member of the House of Representatives, Bello Sani, who represents Mashi/Dvisi Federal Constituency in the House has died. He died this morning at about 11am at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital after battling an undisclosed ailment for many months.

He was 51 years old. His remains will be buried today in Katsian state according to Muslim rites. May his soul rest in peace Amen.

Katsina Assembly Impeach Speaker, Chief Whip


Katsina State House of Assembly, yesterday impeached its Speaker, Aliyu Muduru. He was impeached by the two-thirds majority of the house members and a new Speaker, Alhaji Yahaya Kusada, was immediately elected to replace him.

Fayose Storms Ministry Of Finance, Over Unpaid State Allocation


The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, on Wednesday visited the headquarters of the Federal Ministry of Finance and demanded the release of the state’s N1.1bn  budget support facility for the month of January.

Fayose visited the ministry and requested to see the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, over the non-payment of the allocation but was told that the finance minister was at the Presidential  Villa attending the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting.

France Warns Russia Against Interfering In Election


France said yesterday it would not accept interference by Russia or any other state in its presidential election, and would retaliate if necessary.

The pledge by Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault followed complaints by the party of election frontrunner Emmanuel Macron that his campaign was the target of 'fake news' put out by Russian media, as well as internet attacks on its databases.
