Tanker fails brake and slams into religious parade, killing two (video)

Two people were killed and three injured when an oil tanker lost control and ploughed into villagers who were celebrating their ancestors with a parade in Guangdong, China on February 13th. The villagers who were from nearby Meizhou were by one side of the road, dancing to the beat of a drum when the large vehicle began heading straight for the people.

Burlington drops Ivanka's products as the dump trump campaign gathers steam

Fashion retailer, Burlington has followed in the steps of Nordstrom and dropped Ivanka Trump's products. A search on their website comes up empty when previously, there was plenty Ivanka merchandise. It's unclear if the brand is still being sold in stores. Burlington is yet to comment. A recent search for 'Ivanka Trump' brought up the message, 'Sorry, we are not getting any results for the brand you've searched.'

Police arrest the woman who killed her newborn baby in Ogun State

The Ogun Police Command has arrested the woman who killed her one-day old baby Wednesday morning at Sango Ota. LIB earlier reported that a woman was caught for killing her baby shortly after delivery. 

A statement issued on Wednesday, by Mr Abimbola Owoyemi, the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), said the woman identified as Foluke Owolewa, 40, was arrested after community leaders reported the incident was reported at Sango Police Divisional Headquarters.

Kenyan woman who stole baby in church charged in court

A 23-year-old Kenyan woman has been charged with stealing a one and half-month-old baby during a church service in Nairobi. Mercy Akinyi Otieno, a housewife, allegedly stole the infant on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at the Jesus Teaching Ministry, located at Kahawa House, Haile Selassie Avenue.

According to the infant's mother, Jeridah Oundo Shikanda, she had gone to church with her husband as well as the son. 

As the service was going on, she went to the washroom to change her baby's wet clothes where she met the accused person who then told her she came from her native home in Khayega.

I have gone to jail seven times" 18-year-old serial phone thief arrested in Lagos

The operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested an 18-year old serial phone thief in Oshodi. The suspect, Sadeeq Wasiu, who had been imprisoned seven times, was re-arrested in Oshodi on Tuesday after several months of being on the operatives’ wanted list.

Wasiu, alias “Omo Eiye”, as he is popularly called in Oshodi was arrested at Oshodi Under Bridge while trying to escape after snatching an Infinix Note 3 from an undergraduate.
