I Felt Like Absconding After I Was Inaugurated, Buhari Says

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday admitted that at a point after he was inaugurated as the President in May 2015, he felt like running away.

He said he would have taken the decision because of the myriad of problems his administration inherited from past governments.

Buhari said this while addressing 68 Nigerians who participated in the Senior Executive Course 38 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, and the institute’s management staff at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The President said consecutive administrations since 1999 realised what he called unprecedented resources because of the huge price of oil and the number of barrels being produced per day and yet the party in government during the period had nothing to show for it.
He said, “For 16 years and eight consecutive governments of the other party, you know that there was unprecedented revenue realised. Oil production, which can be verified, was 2.1 million barrels per day.

Mariah Carey Reportedly Feeling Depressed Following Her Split From James Packer

Mariah Carey is feeling 'depressed' following her split from James Packer. The 46-year-old singer was left devastated when her engagement to the Australian billionaire was called off last month and after presuming they'd get back together, she has now accepted it's over.
A source told People magazine: 'First the split didn't seem to faze Mariah. It was like she expected things to be fine soon. Now she realises that things aren't fine and not being with James makes her depressed.'
Insiders says Mariah - who has five-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, with ex-husband Nick Cannon - has been going out to take her mind off things.
The source continued: 'She doesn't want to sit at home and dwell on it. She is very hurt that he dumped her. She knows she will never be able to find someone like him.'
It was recently claimed that Mariah had begged ex Nick for a divorce so she could marry James
The former couple split in August 2014 but their divorce had dragged on because of legal wranglings about the children.

Mom Who Believes Partner Was Cheating, Kills Daughter, Harms Son Then Sent Photos & Videos To HimTo See

“Ya kids ain’t safe here I don’t want them here,” read one text, later followed by, “So you better pray for your kids.”
The “kids” were 17-month-old Andre Price III and 2-year-old Angel Price. The messages came from a phone belonging to their mother, 21-year-old Christian Clark.
They were sent to the children’s father.
On Wednesday, Clark was charged with killing Andre and attempting to kill Angel, the Associated Press reported.
“She was sending [messages] before the act, at the time of the act and following the act,” Allegheny County Police Superintendent Coleman McDonough told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
It began on Tuesday.
Clark and the children’s father, Andre Price Jr., sometimes lived together in McKeesport, Pa., a city outside Pittsburgh. The couple had been together earlier in the day, but Price had left for work at about 2:30 p.m.
The children were left in Clark’s care.
By 8:25 p.m., though, she wondered why Price hadn’t returned to the house. In a text message, she “accused Price of cheating on her with another woman,” police wrote in an affidavit obtained by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Release Our Son Now, Ibori Kinsmen Tell British Govt

The kinsmen of a former Delta State governor, Chief James Ibori, have alleged that it was Ibori’s clamour for fiscal federalism to enable the people of the Niger Delta region to control their resources that led to his incarceration in a British jail.

The allegation is contained in an 11-point communiqué issued at the end of the Oghara 2016 Summit held in Asaba, the state capital, yesterday.

They lauded the former governor for his foresight in developing the state.

The communiqué was signed by an elder brother to the former governor and the Unugbrogodo of Ogharefe, Chief Williams Ibori;   the Unugbrogodo of Oghareki, Chief Williams Usabor; and the Chairman of the summit, Chief Emmanuel Ighomena.

It decried the continued neglect of the Oghara Independent Power Plant.

In the communiqué, the people of Oghara Kingdom in the Ethiope West Council Area of the state also lauded Ibori, who was a governor from 1999 to 2007, for laying the foundation for the state development.

The communiqué read, “Despite his good works for which he was lauded by all and sundry, the travails of our son, Chief Ibori, is mainly the fallout of his unrelenting stand and clamour for fiscal federalism through the control of resources of the Niger Delta by her people. We therefore unequivocally call for his immediate and unconditional release by the British government.”

Security guard with large tumour growing on his face for 12 years gets sacked after customers complained about his looks. Pictures

A security guard, Sipho Hadebe, who has had a large tumour growing on his face for 12 years, was recently sacked from his job because his appearance was beginning to startle customers.
According to MailOnline, 39-year-old Hadebe, has been living with the gradually expanding growth for 12 years. The tumour has now got so large that he struggles to breathe.
Hadebe after running a test in the hospital was told by the doctors that the tumour is putting pressure on his respiratory airway and that within a year he would no longer be able to breathe.
Hadebe’s local hospital had had him on a waiting list, which meant he would have had to wait for seven years before he could have the operation to remove the tumour - the only way he can get his job back. He however, began to raise funds in a desperate attempt to relieve his suffering. Strangers have currently donated more than £2,000, to help him and he is set to undergo a private treatment that experts believe will save his life.
