'I was too honest ,which was my downfall'-Super Eagle striker Osaze Odemwingie reveals


35 year old Super Eagles striker Peter Osaze Odemwingie has joked of his infamous failed move to QPR football club in 2013 where he drove 150 miles to QPR's training ground and appeared on television claiming he was hopeful a deal between then club West Brom and QPR would go ahead. He referred to QPR as “we” in the interview, only for QPR to refuse signing him which turned the player a laughing stock among his west Brom team mates as he had already wished them goodbye.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 24-year-old suspect, Tayo Adeyemi, who confessed to have been hired to kill a female hotel lodger in the Alakija, Satellite Town area of the state.

Adeyemi, who hails from Kwara State, told Punch that he was arrested by the police after he sneaked into the hotel, White House, and demanded that his target, simply known as Rosemary, had sex with him so he would spare her life.

 Metro gathered that Adeyemi, who dropped out of senior secondary school, was arrested by the Satellite Town Police Division last Thursday.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Banned By More Airlines Over Fire Risk


An airline flight ban on Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 is spreading fast after reports some phones have caught fire. Carriers in Australia, Asia and Europe put the phone on a prohibited list over the weekend, which comes after the US banned the device last week.

Carriers flying to the US inevitably had to follow suit, but the bans are spreading worldwide.

In addition to several flag carriers taking action, Air Berlin, Dragonair and Virgin Australia now have bans.

Tyson Gay’s Daughter Killed In Shooting


Former world champion sprinter Tyson Gay's 15-year-old daughter has been killed in a shooting in the US state of Kentucky, police say.

Police in Lexington said Trinity Gay was hit in the neck during an exchange of fire between two vehicles in a restaurant car park.

She was taken to hospital where she later died.

Mr Gay, who is from Lexington, confirmed her death to local TV station Lex 18.
"She didn't make it. I'm so confused. She was just here last week for fall break. It's so crazy. I have no idea what happened," he said.

Trump Says Election Being Rigged 'At Many Polling Places'


Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump dug deeper in his efforts to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the U.S. election, saying on Twitter on Sunday that he believed the results were being "rigged" at many polling places.

His tweet came hours after his vice presidential running mate, Mike Pence, said Republicans would accept the outcome of the Nov. 8 contest between Trump and his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton.

Nigeria Customs Service Dismisses 17 Officers Over Drug Addiction, Others


The spokesperson for Nigeria Customs Service, Wale Adeniyi, has said seventeen junior officers have been dismissed from the Service for offences ranging from drug addiction, certificate forgery, theft and absence from duty from January to September 2016.

“Investigations into offences committed by the officers in the senior category are now being concluded. Officers found guilty are expected to face similar stiff penalties.

Man gets arrested for cutting off his pregnant ex-girlfriend nipples


An American man, identified as Tony Ledbetter has been arrested for assaulting and cutting off his pregnant ex-girlfriend nipples after they got in an argument.
According to police reports, the 49 old visited the victim at her house on Tuesday, to address their relationship, but turned into a violent scene when the suspect allegedly punched the victim in the face, slammed her head onto the ground multiple times, and pinned her down by the throat, forcing a blanket into her mouth, before cutting off her nipples with scissors.
The woman, whose identity wasn’t revealed was said to have managed to escape being killed by his ex, who later called the Police to report the situation.

However, Tony Ledbetter has been charged with 8 counts Domestic Aggravated Assault.
