Akwa Ibom state governor sacks all his commissioners


Akwa Ibom governor, Udom Emmanuel, has sacked all the commissioners in his cabinet. A statement released today by the Secretary to the State Government, Etekamba Umoren, announced the dissolution of the State Executive Council.
The statement advised all the commissioners to hand over to the permanent secretaries in their ministries. No reason was given for the decision. Most of the serving commissioners were from the administration of his predecessor, Godswill Akpabio.

Inspector killed as gunmen attack police station, cart-away weapons in Ekiti


A police inspector was killed ‎while the police armory was raided after about 40 armed men raided Ido-Ekiti Divisional Police Station in Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti state yesterday October 14th. 

The gunmen stormed the police station at about ‎7pm and started shooting sporadically. The attackers used dynamite to blow open some of the stations safe. Police sources say the armed men came for the armory as that was their first point of call during the attack. 


The police has also ruled out possibility of the armed men coming to release a high profiled detainee as no one was in the police cell as at the time of the attack.

Lady left in shock after RRS officers assisted her and her colleagues on third mainland bridge without collecting any cash gift

IG user, Ms_rubbie shared an amazing experience she had with some Rapid Response Squad Police Officers who yesterday night, helped her colleague fix his flat tyre. After the RRS officers got the tyre fixed for them, they refused to take pictures with them and also refused any cash gifts from them. Pregnant 12-year-old taken to hospital by her 35-year-old ‘husband’ is victim of child trafficking

A 12 year old girl who was forced to marry a 35 year old Chinese man, and was 4 months pregnant when he took her to hospital this week was trafficked from her home in Vietnam.
Disgusted and shocked doctors called police after the girl appeared in hospital with a huge baby bump and stretch marks. Her  'husband'  tried to fake her as his 20 year old wife but the doctors upon seeing her knew she was no where near that age.
The girl who was unable to speak Mandarin (China's language) couldn't reveal her real age when questioned by doctors which prompted the 'husband' to tell the doctors ‘Do your job’ when the questioning by the doctors became to much.
