Saraki Vindicated After Aisha’s Comment On ‘Hijacked Government’


An aide to the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, on Friday said his boss had been vindicated by the recent outburst of President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife, Aisha, about her husband’s leadership.

Bamikole Omisore, a media aide to the Senate President said the fact that Mrs. Buhari could come out to openly express reservations about her husband’s appointees showed that his boss’ earlier argument that the government had been hijacked was in good faith.

Mr. Saraki on June 27 said some individuals within Mr. Buhari’s government were running a “government within the government. It has become clear that there is a government within the government of President Buhari who have seized apparatus of executive powers to pursue their nefarious agenda,” Mr. Saraki said at the time.

Aisha Belongs To My Kitchen & The 'Other Room'- Buhari


President Muhammadu Buhari has replied his wife, Aisha Buhari saying he does not know where she now belongs too. Speaking on her decision not to support him for a second term in office, the President said she belongs to his kitchen.

It will be recalled that the wife of the President in an interview openly questioned her husband’s work and said she might not support him for a second term in office. Responding to her comments in Germany where he is on a state visit President Buhari laughed it off, saying, “I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room.”

His comments to reporters in Germany prompted German Chancellor Angela Merkel, standing at his side, to give him a short glare and then laugh.

Two black mothers, including one with a baby intervened when thugs were about to stab a teenager in a busy shopping street. The niece and her aunt took action when two youths with huge knives chased two other boys through New Cross in south London. The aunt picked up a cafe chair and lunged at one of the knifemen with all her strength, knocking him off balance as he was about to attack one of the boys.

Witnesses praised the two women, saying they had saved the boy's life. The aftermath was captured by BBC London, who filmed the women telling police what had happened. The niece, still carrying her baby, told officers:

Reacting to Aisha Buhari's controversial BBC interview, former Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Rowland Owie today said if his wife went public to criticize him the way Aisha Buhari did to her husband, in her BBC Hausa interview, he would send her packing from his house. In an interview with Vanguard, Owie said although what Aisha Buhari said was right, it could have been said in the bedroom when she had some private time with her husband.

hirty seven (37) vehicles loaded with illegally imported rice have been seized by operatives of the Nigeria Customs while on patrol in Ogun State along Ipokia, Idiroko/Oowode and Alari/Ifiyintedo axis.
Speaking with newsmen in Lagos, Deputy Comptroller in Charge of Enforcement at the Command, Mohammed Gagiyo said the vehicles were intercepted and seized while three suspects have been arrested in connection with the seizure.The suspects, Olowe Oluwabunmi (m), Bibilari Olaniyi (m) and Rasheed Abiola (m) are currently being investigated in connection with the seizure

A notorious Cameroonian trafficker of sex workers, Eyambe Miliki Sona has been arrested by the police over plot to send four young Nigerian girsl to Russia to work as prostitutes.
The young girls between 19 to 24 years old came all the way from Nigeria after being promised travel visas to Moscow –Russia.
One of the girls identified as Ewangi Patriarch, 19, recounted that Eyambe Miliki Sona directed them to Cameroon by phone. Upon arrival they were lodged in a single room while waiting for their travel documents. The girls became impatient after waiting for two weeks and not receiving any positive signs of the alleged trip to Russia.

EFCC arrests military officers for diverting Soldiers’ N339m death benefits


Two military officers and four others have been arrested by EFCC operatives for allegedly opening fake accounts to divert N339million benefits of next-of-kin of deceased military officers and men within two months. The Nation reports that two other suspects involved in the crime are currently at large. 
The arrested  military officers, a Wing Commander and a Lt. Commander, worked at the Military Pension Board while their accomplices were Branch Manager and Relationship Manager of United Bank for Africa (UBA). It was gathered that the auditors of UBA raised the alarm when its auditors discovered that huge parts of the funds were “cashed across the counter in a suspicious manner.”
