A Filipina housemaid committed suicide by consuming large number of medicinal pills inside here employer’s house in Firdous, Kuwait, on September 23. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the incident, security men and paramedics rushed to the location and examined the woman to discover she was dead. Her corpse was referred to the Forensics Department and investigations have been launched to determine the reason she killed herself.

Judge withdraws from IPOB leader, Kanu Nnamdi’s trial
Justice John Tsoho, the judge handling the trial of the leader of the Indigenious People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has returned the case file to the Chief Justice of the Federal High Court, Ibrahim Auta, for reassignment. Tsoho asked for reassignment of the case following a petition by the legal team of Nnamdi Kanu led by Chuks Muoma, alleging that he was biased in its handling of Kanu's case.
