Boko Haram leader, Shekau releases new video, claims he's "in a happy state, good health, and in safety"



Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau released a new video message in which he denied a claim by the Nigerian Army that he seriously injured in air strike. The military said that Shekau had been badly injured last month in an air raid in which dozens of the Islamist group's commanders were killed. In the 40-minute video, Shekau spoke in Arabic, Hausa and Kanuri language, saying: "Oh tyrants, I'm in a happy state, in good health and in safety," Watch the video after the cut...

A fuel truck fell and crushed a car at Ikorodu road today 25th Sept, 2016 at about 4:08am. According to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, the Mack Truck with registration number AGL 664 XG laden with 33,000 litre PMS, belonging to Forte Oil, fell due to the overspeeding of the driver.

One soldier, two others killed as militants attack troops in Bakassi



The Nigerian Army said that suspected militants led by a wanted kingpin, Benjamin Simplee aka G1, leader of the Bakassi Strike Force, attacked its troops in Bakassi Local Government Area of Cross River State on Saturday, September 24th.

New Boko Haram video is mere propaganda and a sign of desperation- Military says

The Nigerian Army has reacted to the new Boko Haram video which its factional leader, Abubakar Shekau appeared in. The military says all threats made by Shekau in the video should be ignored. Read the military's statement signed by Acting Director Army Public Relations, Col. S.K Usman below:

Three suspected robbers who have been terrorising passers-by, broken down vehicle owners, passengers and other road users around Otedola Bridge in Lagos have been arrested by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command just as they recovered two master keys from them.
