Maiduguri is now more secured than Lagos and Abuja- Borno state governor says

Borno state governor, Kashim Shettima, has said the efforts of the troops to rid the state of Boko Haram members has paid off as the state is now more secured than even Lagos and Abuja. Kashim said this in an interview with NAN today September 18th. 
  “Maiduguri is more secured than even Lagos or Abuja. There are 2 million people living in Maiduguri. We celebrated Sallah without any incident. By the grace of God, we are poised for a great change. Believe me, in the next couple of months, you will see changes in the fortunes of the people of the state”he said

In an interview with CNBC, Dangote said African leaders need to work to remove barriers such as visa issuance so that businesses can effectively connect and thrive within the continent. 

South African rap legend Mandoza dies at 38

 
South African kwaito music star, Mduduzi Edmund Tshabalala aka Mandoza, has passed on. He died today September 18th after a long battle with cancer, which had reportedly spread to his brain, leading him to lose his sight completely. Photos: Two-week-old baby girl found abandoned inside rubbish bin

A two-week-old baby was found abandoned inside a refuse bin near the Patong Municipality Office on Ratpatanusorn Rd, Thailan, on Saturday, September 17th.
Workers with Kusoldhram Rescue Foundation responded to a call from a local resident at 1am. After notifying Patong Police, the rescue workers arrived at the scene to find a smiling baby girl wrapped in a white towel lying in a bin.

A young lady, Ogechukwu Kate shared these photos on her Facebook page. The photos shows the young lady harvesting cassava and processing garri.
"Farming is really a tough but enjoyable work to do. I cant imagine myself buying 13 cups of garri 400 naira when i am physically and mentally fit to go to farm" she captioned the photos.
