A two-week-old baby was rescued in Narok, Kenya on Thursday, September 1, after being dumped into a 30-feet pit latrine by its mother. Police are looking for the teenager who was said to have fled the scene.
The federal government has said it distributed thousands of bags of essential food and non-food items to Nigerians in Internally Displaced Persons’ (IDP) camps in Cameroun, Chad and Niger, according to a report by the presidency.
The Manufacturing Purchasing Manager’s Index (PMI) declined to 42.1 index points in August 2016, compared to 44.1 in the preceding month, indicating that the manufacturing sector declined at a faster rate during the review period.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) disclosed this in the PMI report for August that was released yesterday.
