$3 million lottery winner gets 21 years in prison for trafficking Meth


A Georgia man, 46-year-old Ronnie Music Jr. of Waycross who won $3 million in a scratch-off lottery game in February 2015 was sentenced Monday to serve 21 years in federal prison. Music arrested, convicted and been sentenced to prison for reportedly using at least part of his $3 million in lottery winnings to deal drugs. 
Prosecutors say he pleaded guilty in July to conspiring to traffic large amounts of methamphetamine and to being a felon in possession of firearms.

Four persons killed as Police and Army clash in Yobe


Four persons have been confirmed dead in a clash between some Army and Police officers in Damaturu, Yobe state Wednesday, April 12th. According to reports, the clash started following the abduction of the Mopol commandant in charge 41, Damaturu, by some Army officials. The abducted commandant was said to have been moving in a convoy Tuesday when a man intercepted his convoy. The police officers attached to him harassed the man, not knowing that he was an Army officer.
Then Tuesday morning, some Army officers kidnapped the commandant, which resulted in a shoot-out between both security agents.

Body of first female Muslim judge in the US found in Hudson River, New York


The body of the first female Muslim judge in the United States', Shelia Abdus-Salaam, 65, was found Wednesday afternoon in the Hudson River near Manhattan, in New York. Abdus-Salaam served as an associate judge of the Court of Appeals and was the first African-American woman to serve on New York's top court.
Shelia Abdus-Salaam had been reported missing earlier in the day.  Witnesses noticed a body floating in the water near 132nd Street and Hudson Parkway in Manhattan at around 1.45pm Wednesday and called 911, police said.

Man dies after getting bitten by snake while posing for pictures with the reptile



Baburam, 42, has died after getting bitten by a snake. Baburam wanted to take a photo with the reptile and the snake charmer, Indraram Suthar, 34, tried to get the snake to stay on the man's neck when the snake's head went too close to Baburam's temple.

Patience Jonathan said she withdrew only $100,000 from her Skye Bank account for medical treatment as she was not in a hurry to withdraw all the money.

The former first lady, who spoke through her solicitor, Barrister Charles Ogboli, on Tuesday said she never wanted to withdraw all the money, but just to ensure compliance to the order of court.

Author, singer and certified life transgender life coach and minister, Dr Rizi Xavier Timane, was born and raised as a woman in Nigeria before relocating to the United States where she underwent 20 surgical procedures to transition from female to male.
Timane grew up in an extremely religious Christian home as a girl. He was subjected to multiple exorcisms, and other reparative attempts by his family and church to change him after he came out as a trans boy at eight years old.

Senator Shehu Sani has alleged that Governor el-Rufai ordered the demolition of Barrister Inuwa Abdulkadir's residence because of their close relationship.


The Yakubu Avenue residence of Abdulkadir, North West zonal Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a close ally of Senator Sani was destroyed by the Kaduna State Urban Planning Development Agency (KASUPDA) days ago.
Senator Sani, who stated this during a solidarity visit to Abdulkadir in Abuja, said the demolition of the house was politically motivated.

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested five ISIS linked Boko Haram members alleged to have perfected plans to attack the United States and United Kingdom embassies in Abuja.

In a statement released by a DSS official, Tony Opuiyo today, the suspects were arrested in Benue State and the FCT.

Figures making the rounds show that security for President Trump and his family far surpasses that of of his predecessor and now it's clear why.

First Lady, Melania Trump and her son Barron were joined by Tiffany as they visited upscale bowling alley Bowlmor Lanes on New York City. Accompanying them were 30 secret service agents who certainly didn't come cheap. 
After spending two hours at the bowling venue, the family was seen ushered inside blacked-out SUVS that lined the curb outside.

Despite senates rejection, VP Yemi Osinbajo declares his support for EFCC acting chairman Ibrahim Magu


Despite the senate rejecting his nomination twice, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday stated that he and President Buhari are fully in support of the acting Chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu.

Osinbajo said this when he spoke with some journalists at the state house in Abuja yesterday. According to Osinbajo, President Buhari has not called for Magu's replacement because he doesn't find the DSS report which indicted him of some wrongdoings, enough reason to do so.

Man Sets Company Bus Ablaze For Not Giving Him N500 Promo Prize

The Police in Jigawa on Tuesday arrested a 20-year-old teacher for allegedly burning a Volkswagen Bus belonging to a company in Dutse Local Government Area of the state. 

The police Spokesman, Mr Jinjiri Abdu, who confirmed the arrest, said the suspect, (Names withheld), a junior secondary school teacher, allegedly used petrol and matches and set the bus ablaze.
