Politics Buhari Sympathises With UK Over Terrorist Attack, Remains Silent on Boko Haram Attack in Maiduguri

Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday condemned the terrorist attack near the United Kingdom Parliament Building at Westminster, London.

In a statement released by the Presidency, Buhari assured the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, assured that the government and people of Nigeria “stand with Britons at this sad and trying moment in their country.”

According to Buhari, “terror attack anywhere in the world is condemnable,” and that the whole world must join hands to defeat the perpetrators of terrorism.

He prayed that God Almighty will comfort the grieving families and heal the injured.

The presidency was however, silent over an attack on IDPs in Maiduguri by suicide bombers which claimed 7 lives.
