Artist Njideka Akunyili, the daughter of Late Dora Akunyili last week set a new record in New York when her work Drown sold for $1,092,500. The amount was over three times the high-estimate ($200,000-$300,000), in Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Evening Sale. She has now set a new auction record. So huge and big congrats to her.
