Photographers get their fair share of crying, distracted or otherwise difficult children. But Cassandra Jones of Noelle Mirabella Photography managed to capture a peaceful moment for not just one baby – but four!
Two-month-old identical quadruplets – Abigail, Mckayla, Grace and Emily Webb of Canada – snoozed through a photoshoot by Noelle Mirabella Photography, resulting in precious pictures of the sisters. "The girls were all amazing," Jones tells PEOPLE. "They slept like little angels for the entire shoot." The coordinated effort was expertly planned.
"Prior to the shoot, [the mother] brought the babies to my house so that we could keep them all awake at the same time," Jones reveals. "When they got tired, we dressed and fed them all at the same time so that they would fall asleep at the same time for the
Even though the babies cooperated perfectly, photographing quadruplets took five extra people: one assistant for each baby and another to handle props. In three hours, Jones was also to do five sets of photos of the girls.
"An average newborn session with a single baby lasts two to three hours, so I was pleasantly surprised how much I was able to do with four babies," Jones says. Jones also prepared for the shoot by having hats and wraps custom-made for the pictures. The babies wore white outfits so they didn't have to change for the different setting
The Webb quadruplets were conceived without the use of fertility drugs to first-time parents, Tim and Bethani Webb, according to Noelle Mirabella Photography. Identical quadruplets are so rare that only about 70 sets are known to currently exist in the world."I'm definitely glad I was laying down because I could not believe that there were four there," Bethani told Today earlier this year of learning they were expecting multiples. "I thought there had to be some kind of mistakeĆ¢€¦ [my husband] almost fainted. He had to sit down for a moment."
With the help of their small community in Hythe, Alberta, population 821, the Webbs are managing to raise the girls, who they tell apart by their different color ear piercings – Abby has blue, Emily has purple, Grace has red and Mckayla has pink.
