APC Lawmaker Asks Buhari To Resign With Immediate Effect

Embattled member of the Federal House of Representatives, Abdulmumini Jibrin, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign from office on health grounds.

Mr. Jibrin, a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, said the president’s ill health has affected governance in the country badly.

“PMB should opt for or encourage to accept a negotiated exit. The country can not afford a sort of part time president at this time,” Mr. Jibrin tweeted alongside series of tweets, Friday evening.

Mr. Jibrin, who posted 30 tweets Friday evening, started by saying “PMB, TIME TO LET GO: So many issues are left unattended even small issues that a presidential cough can deal with are left hanging”.

JAMB UTME: Prospective Candidates Protest Inability To Register, Block Roads in Benue

Prospective candidates for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, on Thursday protested in Makurdi, Benue State over their inability to register. 

They blocked some major roads in the city, as they marched to JAMB’s office located along Inner Ring Road. The candidates also took their complaints to the Governor’s Office at Benue People’s House.

Right Advancement and Protection Alternative in conjunction with the Centre for Gender Studies, Bayero University, Kano (BUK), Daily Trust said Emir Sanusi decried “growing violence and maltreatment of women and children”.

The Emir said any society yearning for growth and development, must find a way of treating women and children fairly and just, pointing out that, Islam abhors any form of discrimination, maltreatment and injustice against humanity. 

Court Sacks All Ondo Council Chairmen

The Ondo State high Court, sitting in Akure, the state capital on Friday dissolved the local government executives in the eighteen local government areas of the state, Daily Post reports. 

Justice Isiq while delivering his judgment held that the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) erred by omitted the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) on the election ballot paper.

The suit inherited by the Rotimi Akeredolu led government was brought before the court by the leadership of the PRP in the state.

El-Rufai : I'll Write Another Memo To Buhari

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai is prepared to write another memo to President Muhammadu Buhari if the need arises.  

El-Rufus whose recent memo to the President was leaked told DAILY POST that he will not stop giving Buhari advice. 

"I will never stop giving our leader an honest advice in the interest of his success and the country." 

President Buhari Makes Massive Appointments Into Government Agencies

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved massive appointments into the executive management of some government agencies and parastatals.

President' aide, Femi Adesina in a press release, Friday, said Mr. Buhari has approved the appointment of former newspaper editor and ex-presidential spokesman, Chief Duro Onabule as the new chairman of the board of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

Other executive directors of NTA include: Dr Steve Egbo, Administration and Training; Abdul Hamid Salihu Dembos, Marketing; Mohammed Labbo, News; Fatima M. Barda, Finance; Stephen Okoanachi, Engineering; and Wole Coker, Programmes.

President of Lebanon Falls Face Down In Public [VIDEO]

Michel Aoun the President of Lebanon tripped and fell face down at the 28th Ordinary Summit of the Arab League at the Dead Sea, Jordan.

The 82-year-old leader was standing next to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi when he fell.
