Meryl Streep calls out Trump in powerful Golden Globe speech.. Trump replies on Twitter

After accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globe, actress Meryl Streep called out US President-elect Donald Trump for publicly mocking a disabled reporter in 2015, saying she had been heartbroken by his imitation of Serge Kovales during his campaign.
 "There was one performance this year that stunned me," Streep, 67, said on Sunday night. "It sank its hooks in my heart. Not because it was good. It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter."

Controversial judge, Justice Okon Abang, redeployed to Asaba in major judiciary shakeup


Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Auta, has approved the redeployment of controversial judge of the Federal High Court Abuja Division, Justice Okon Abang, to Asaba, Delta state. A circular sent out this morning by the court, says the redeployment takes effect from January 30th. Justice Auta said shortage of judges due to recent developments in the court, necessitated the redeployment. 

Man chops his elder brother to death while he slept for failing to give him pocket money


Dominic Ogbaji, a 22-year-old indigene of Cross River State, killed his elder brother, 32-year-old John Ogbaji, while he was asleep, for allegedly failing to give him pocket money.

The incident occurred on the 2nd of November 2016 at Ajegunle in Mpape Village, FCT Abuja. 

Dominic who worked as a barber in his village, due to the fact that he was not earning enough relocated to Abuja in search of a better life. He allegedly went to Abuja to live with his sister but she referred him to his brother. According to Dominic’s testimony, he informed his brother, John, that he wanted a job, but he was not able to get him one. He claimed that life became difficult for him as he said that asides feeding him, John was not giving him pocket money.

Spider-man actor, Andrew Garfield, at the Golden Globe awards on Sunday night made out with Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds after he missed out on winning the "La La Land" award to Ryan Gosling.


The 2017 Golden Globe Awards had no shortage of surprising moments - the broken teleprompter, Aaron Taylor-Johnson's upset, Atlanta's win, but the biggest moment was surely when Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield locked lips as Ryan Gosling was making his way to the stage to accept his award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

20yr old British man becomes first in Britain to officially announces he’s pregnant

A 20-year-old transgender named Hayden Cross has become the first man in Britain to announce that he’s pregnant. 
Cross, who was born as a girl, put his transition on hold in order to have a baby but has been living as a man for three years.

Cross is legally male and has begun hormone treatment. After finding a sperm donor on Facebook, the dad-to-be is reportedly four months pregnant. Once he gives birth, his breasts and ovaries will be removed to finalize his transition.

Man who predicted 911 attack and fall of the Berlin wall says America is doomed under Donald Trump


Johan Galtung, a sociologist and Norwegian professor, who rightly made several predictions, among them being the 911 attack, the fall of the Soviet Union and the Tiananmen Square uprising, has predicted that the world’s super power will collapse while Trump is in the white house.

Long before Trump won the election or even contested for that matter, in 2000 Galtung predicted the US global power will collapse come 2025, but he later revised the year of the collapse to 2020. Galtung is convinced his prediction is materialising following the election of Donald Trump.

Eight killed in multiple suicide attacks in Maiduguri


8 people were killed in Multiple bomb attacks in Maiduguri, Borno state yesterday January 8th. The coordinated attacks started at about 10pm. Residents of Maiduguri say the first bomb which was detonated by a female suicide bomber, went off at Muna garage area.

Two other suicide bombers carried out their attacks by knocking on people's door to detonate their IEDs in Kaleri community. Five persons were killed during this attack.
