Spot the difference between the US embassy in Ghana & the recently exposed fake one which sold legitimate visas

A fake United States Embassy was recently busted in Ghana after operating illegally for a decade. According to a statement released by the U.S. State Department, the sham embassy was operated in Accra by a cartel that issued illegally obtained but legitimate visas. The syndicate issued fraudulently obtained but legitimate U.S. visas and false identification documents, including birth certificates at a cost of $6,000 each.   Photo Credit: BBC Africa

Photo: Police arrest kidnappers that murdered Dangote's strategist, recovers arms and ammunition


The IGP Intelligence Response Team (IRT) have arrested three of the kidnappers that murdered ransom transporter and a senior strategist with Dangote Industries Limited, Istifanus Gurama.

According to a press release signed by police spokesman, Don Awunah, the IRT, armed with credible intelligence, between November 27, 2016 and December 3, 2016 arrested three of the kidnappers: Abubakar Gide 24, Abdullahi Salihu 22, and Babuga Adamu 25 in Ijebu Igbo - Ogun state, Epe Forest - Lagos State and Ajase Ipo Forest - kwara state respectively.

A truck transporting cool drinks broke down on the N12 West Motorway between Voortrekker and Comaro Road off ramps, South Africa on December 2.
Photos showed looters carrying 2 litre six packs while others were carrying 2 litre bottles in twos or more. 

People in vehicles were also pulling off in droves and stealing stock from the truck. Even a Sasko delivery truck stopped and loaded some stolen stock. The looters were so many that they even caused a traffic jam on the Motorway.

Police have been called to the scene. JMPD Spokeswoman Superintendent Edna Mamonyane said:

Corp members in Rivers state refuse to serve in Saturday's rerun election


Corp members serving in Rivers state have refused to be shortlisted to serve as INEC ad-hoc committee members in this Saturday, December 10th National Assembly rerun election in the state.
Most of the corps members refused to serve following the violence that has characterized elections in the state in recent times.

Recall that a corp member, Okonta Samuel Dumebi, was murdered by some political thugs during the state's rerun election on March 19.

Okonta was serving as an ad-hoc staff in the election when he was stabbed by some political thugs. INEC pays Corp members that serve during elections N9500.

Gov. Amosun rewards street sweeper, traffic officer and 3 others with 2 bedroom flat for work dedication


Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun, on Monday awarded a traffic warden, a street sweeper and three other civil servants each with 2 bedroom flat, for their dedication in their respective jobs. The Governor said he had been monitoring the street sweeper and the traffic officer for quite a while but didn't know their names. Adding that the other three recipients were picked from the list of outstanding civil servants compiled in May for May Day.

Police officers who die on duty in Lagos to receive up to N10m death insurance benefit– Ambode


Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode who was present at the Lagos House in Ikeja to  announced an increment in the death insurance benefit for police officers who die while on active service to N10 million. Adding that his administration would stop at nothing to ensure the safety of all citizens in the state.

The Governor said his administration was raising the death insurance policy of Police officers from N1million to rank and file and N2million to senior officers to N10 million. Vanguard
