The PDP senate caucus don't want Ali Modu Sheriff and Ahmed Makarfi to contest as the party's National Chairman any more.

After a meeting, the caucus' spokesman, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe said the senators want the duo to step down after presenting their speeches at the planned convention of the party.

They said the duo should allow for the setting up of an Electoral Committee to oversee the conduct of the electing members of the National Working Committee of the party.

Abaribe said the senators came about the decision to prevent a spart if the Supreme Court imposes a decision on the party that would not benefit either side of the camp.
