Manchester United Condoles With Nigerian Fans Over Viewing Centre Tragedy

Manchester United has reacted to the death of about 30 football fans who were electrocuted in a viewing centre in Calabar, south east Nigeria, while watching the Europa League game between Manchester United and Anderlecht on Thursday, April 20. 

According to reports, a high-tension cable fell inside the viewing centre at the Iyang-Esu of the Calabar Municipal Local Government causing an explosion which killed about 30 and injured many.

The football club tweeted: ''Our thoughts go out to the United fans, their friends and families affected by the tragedy in Calabar, Nigeria yesterday.''
