Lawsuit filed by Obasanjo's wife to stop her son's wedding has been dismissed by the court

One of the wives of former President Obasanjo, Taiwo Obasanjo, filed a lawsuit at an Ikeja High Court, seeking to stop her son, Olujonwo Obasanjo, from marrying Tope Adebutu, the daughter of Sir Kessington Adebutu, on May 11th and 12th. She requested for the wedding to be postponed to a date after June 1st, arguing that she was excluded from all preparations leading to the introduction and proposed wedding.

Justice Lateefa Okunnu today dismissed the suit on the grounds that the court lacked jurisdiction to hear the suit because 33-year-old Olujonwo Obasanjo is an adult.
