3-months after leaving office, Barack Obama will make first public speech on Monday

Since leaving office as the 44th US President, Barack Obama has been relatively quiet, enjoying his vacation and luxury life. It's been three months now, and he's set to deliver the first public remarks of his post-presidency. Obama is slated to speak with young leaders on Monday, April 24th in his adopted hometown of Chicago.

The event at the University of Chicago is billed by his office as a "conversation on community organizing and civic engagement" and a part of Obama's goal to "encourage and support the next generation of leaders."

Obama is also slated to appear with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin in late May.
