What Actually Happened - Presidency Speaks On Osinbajo's Plane Mishap

Following the Acting President Yemi Osinbajo's aircraft that hovered for several minutes over the Akure airspace but could not land on Friday, the Presidency has spoken on the incidence.

The Presidency in a statement issued Friday afternoon said: "The visit to Ondo State has now been rescheduled for Monday, the 20th of February, 2017.

“The presidential jet had to return to Abuja when it became clear the weather situation would not change in time for the trip to take place. 

“The Ag Pres was already air-borne this morning when weather reports indicated a dusty haze and poor visibility at Akure and nearby Airports

“Ag Pres Osinbajo has had to reschedule today's planned visit to Ondo State, as part of the Niger Delta Dialogue, on account of bad weather."
