Video: Ibori says he will be coming back home soon, plans to appeal his conviction by a UK court

Former Delta state governor, James Ibori, who regained freedom from a UK prison last year December, has said he will be coming back to Nigeria soon and that he will be appealing his conviction by a UK court.  In 2012, Ibori was convicted and sentenced to a 13-year jail term in a UK prison for stealing $200m from the Delta state government.  He told a BBC correspondent that he will be appealing his conviction.

"Yes I am of course. I have made that decision and I have instructed my solicitors".
Asked why he wants to appeal a conviction which he pleaded guilty to, the former governor who was once a London DIY store cashier said he doesn't want to discuss that.

Ibori said the next plan for him now is to come back to Nigeria in a matter of days.
