Arsenal have made Rafa Benitez one of their options to replace Arsene Wenger.
The former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager, is currently in charge of Championship side, Newcastle.
It is understood that the Spaniard is one of four names, that have been shortlisted by the Arsenal hierarchy to step in, if Wenger decides to call it a day at the end of this season.
The other coaches are Borussia Dortmund’s Thomas Tuchel, Barcelona’s Luis Enrique and Monaco’s Leonardo Jardim.
Speaking about his future following a 2-0 win over Hull City on Saturday, Wenger said: “I appreciate very much that you want me to rest absolutely, but I’m not ready for that.”
