President Muhammadu Buhari said that one highlight of his foreign trips is the time he spends meeting the Nigerian diaspora. Buhari stated this Tuesday in Dakar, while meeting with a group of Nigerians based in Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire.
"I am always impressed by the hardworking and high-achieving status of our people everywhere around the world," the President said.
"I told them that our Administration is working to improve Nigeria's image by entrenching accountability in governance. I also noted that Nigeria's elite must stop insisting on the business-as-usual approach that has impoverished the country. Nigeria's problems are enormous, and we need the cooperation of everyone, particularly the elite"
